9 June 2-14 | Su Myat Win

A ceremony called “international anti-human trafficking day” was held near the Moei riverbank in Mae Sot at 3pm-7pm on June 8, 2014. Due to the current political situation of Thailand, the formal anniversary on June 5th had to be moved on June 8th. The ceremony was sponsored by Migrant Rights Promotion Working Group (MRPWG), with an aim to promote awareness on human trafficking among the community.
At the ceremony, the students from CDC and Burma Act group had performed ASIAN dance and other traditional dances for the migrant audience. Then, MRPWG had distributed anti-human trafficking pamphlets and gifts.
