Today, SAW school has celebrated 101th birthday of Burma’s beloved leader General Aung San, who was born on February 13, 1915, in Mae Sot.

The reason to celebrate it for youths is to remember and inspire the spirit of General Aung San who had sacrificed his life for independence, unity and prosperity of Burma, according to SAW’s educational coordinator Sayar Min Min.

The celebration includes many contests: rope pulling, track and field, painting, public speaking, dance and singing; the students, teachers and parents have attended to it.

As a migrant school, SAW school had celebrated such ceremony for more than a decade since 2005.
